I found a repair kit at Pyramyd Air that had the seals and the special tool to take the valve apart. When pumped all the air went right out the barrel. I picked up an old rocker safety Blue Streak earlier this year. If air blows out the barrel when you pump, it's probably the exaust valve. If it pumps and fires but like there was only one pump no matter how many you put in, it is probably the check valve. If it doesn't pump at all the pump cup is bad. A very small amount in the air hole won't hurt this one time. You can oil the pivot points and try to get some on the rear of the piston that you can see in the slot. How does the safety work on your rifle? Does it have a "rocker" safety (buttons on either side of the rear tang for Safe and Fire), or does it have a push/pull thingy at the rear of the tube?Ĭrosman bought Benjamin-Sheridan in the '90s and the serial numbers changed to conform to Crosman's system of using the mfg date as the first three digits of the serial numberIn 1995 they switched from the old style soldered in valve to the current removable cartridge valve. I would love to fire this gun on a range and posibally find more like it so I will be readin this forum as often as possible. I live in Louisiana and have called virtually every gunsmith I can find but none will work on an air gun. and if I must find a repair part for the air chamber, where do I find the parts and how do I aquire the manual to learn how to tear it down for repair. It has the air hole with a warning not to oil.Is it still possible to oil this model? My question is does any one know what year this gun may be by the serial number. The only downside is that even though it is a beutiful gun and pumps up and fires it has very little power no matter how many pumps. It has a serial number of 465000 and is in what I would call almost mint condition. I have just aquired an sheridan C-series air gun that has been laying in the attic for many years(not sure how many). I am brand new to the world of air gun collecting and have a few questions.
